This blog allows users to explore the results from the Scottish Parliament General Election in 2026. We also provide historic data on the number of seats and share of the vote by party. The data for the interactive content in this blog is available to download at the end of the blog.

This tool allows you to explore the number of seats won by each party at each election since the first election in 1999. You can narrow the data down by constituency and regional seats as well as by party.

This tool allows you to explore the share of vote won by each party at each election since the first election in 1999. You can explore the constituency and regional vote and break them down by party.
Constituency vote
This tool allows you to explore the data for the constituency vote at the 2026 Election.
The first page of the tool allows you to explore the results at regional and constituency level. The second page allows you to explore the share of the vote for each party including mapping the results for each party across Scotland, regions and constituencies. You can access the second page by clicking on “Constituency – Share of the vote” button at the top.
Regional vote
Like the constituency tool, this allows you to explore the data for the regional vote at the 2026 Election.

Turnout
There were 2,309,063 people who turned out to vote in the 2026 General election. This gave an overall turnout, when looking at valid votes, of 53.2% for the regional vote and 53.1% for the constituency vote. While down from the previous election, it was around the average from turnout since 1999.

This tool allows you to explore the turnout by region and constituency for both the constituency and regional votes. For the turnout figure we have used valid votes, meaning it excludes rejected ballots.
